Kick-off with the "Young Pianists" of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation in the chamber music hall of Kultur Kulinarik Vitznau

Since 2018, when Lang Lang performed with four of his "Scholars" at the theater(Uri), there has been an extremely harmonious partnership between the Festival Swiss Alps Classics, which will take place for the seventh time in June 2023, and the Lang Lang International Music Foundation (LLIMF). We are continuing the tradition this year and are pleased to present Carey BYRON and Sebastian PICHT, two highly talented musicians from the USA, who will shine with works by Frédéric Chopin, Johannes Brahms, Claude Debussy, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Sergei Prokofiev. 19-year-old Carey and 18-year-old Sebastian, both already winners of prestigious international piano competitions despite their youth, will each perform one half of the concert; as in previous years, the official program will conclude with a work for piano four hands.

The concert will take place on June 16, 6:30 p.m., in the new chamber music hall of Kultur Kulinarik Vitznau (KKV), which was opened in February 2023 and combines state-of-the-art technology with the highest sonic quality and impressive atmosphere. "With the Campus Kultur Kulinarik Vitznau, the P & K Pühringer Charitable Foundation has set another 'milestone' in its goal of promoting culture, education and science, and it is both meritorious and touching that the Foundation supports the Lang Lang International Music Foundation in its efforts to promote highly talented young musicians," says Clemens HELLSBERG, Artistic Director of the Festival.

After two "Scholars" of the LLIMF had performed at the Park Hotel Vitznau on the picturesque shore of Lake Lucerne in each of the years 2019, 2021 and 2022, the now "relocation" to the Chamber Music Hall at DAS MORGEN means another "quantum leap" in the history of Swiss Alps Classics, whose founder and organizer Michael Reichel always strives for exclusive and exquisite performance venues.

For the crowning finale of the festival, the LUZERNER SINFONIEORCHESTER under chief conductor Michael SANDERLING and with soloist Sebastian BOHREN on the violin will perform in the Andermatt Concert Hall on June 17. Tickets for the 7th Swiss Alps Classics are available via the online ticket store on the event website.

Urner Kantonalbank: A strong partnership since the beginning of the festival

The Swiss Alps Classics has a proven partnership with the URNER KANTONALBANK (UKB), which is once again an important sponsor of the festival this year. Christoph Bugnon, Chairman of the Management Board of UKB, emphasizes: "The Swiss Alps Classics is a musical firework with great positive charisma far beyond the cantonal borders. The Cantonal Bank of Uri is delighted to have supported the festival for many years. A commitment that connects and strengthens the values of the Swiss Alps Classics with ours. We are proud to be a partner of the Swiss Alps Classics music festival." More information about Urner Kantonalbank can be found on the company website: www.ukb.ch
