Sasso San Gottardo
Once created to defend the country and TOP SECRET – today a unique location for excursions into the legendary heart of Switzerland. Inside of the caves of former fortress „Sasso da Pigna“ at the mystic Gotthard pass an inimitably museum opened its doors:
SASSO SAN GOTTARDO. The tunnelling system was created in 1943 and annulled as battle site in 1998. In 2001 outclassed and in 2012 established as today’s museum Sasso San Gottardo.
The exhibition contains the historic fortress of artillery and the crystal world where 18 million old mountain crystals may now be admired.
The mile long tunnelling system of Gotthard fortress offer place for encounter locations on high-class level, emphasised by its view to the beautiful mountains. In the Crystal Caverne, our concert location, the biggest ever found mountain crystal is exposed to the public in the middle of the hall.
Andermatt Concert Hall
Cultural Center of the Alps
The Andermatt Concert Hall was inaugurated in 2019 and stands for cultural enjoyment in every respect. The building is not only an architectural and acoustic masterpiece. It is also the first concert building in an Alpine destination and the highest concert hall in Switzerland. The multifunctional Andermatt Concert Hall, with a size of 466 square meters, offers up to 650 seats and is part of the Radisson Blu Hotel Reussen, Andermatt.
The centralized position of the stage transforms the foyer into a crossover space for orchestra access during performances, creating an intimate feeling where audience and musicians are physically close and visually connected. The raised roof allows daylight to enter the space and also creates an alternative entrance to the concert hall, making it directly accessible independently of the neighboring hotels. Every facet of the wooden cladding, inspired by the Japanese art of origami folding, has been acoustically optimized; the electronic reverberation system allows the acoustics to be adapted to different musical styles, ensembles and audience sizes.
