Montalvo concert becomes pilot project: 325 guests allowed in the Andermatt Concert Hall

The concert by the American soprano Marisol Montalvo as part of the Swiss Alps Classics on June 5 in Andermatt has been declared a pilot project by Canton of Uri. According to the government council's approval, up to 325 guests from the age of 16 may enter the concert hall on Saturday (6 p.m.), who according to the “COVID-19 Regulation Special Situation” must all have either recovered, be fully vaccinated or tested and must officially prove this. In addition, the organizers of the Swiss Alps Classics presented a comprehensive protection concept and agreed to carry out an evaluation following the event. "A convincing concept was presented that promises to gain knowledge for the upcoming major events," said Emil Kälin, head of the COVID-19 special staff, on Wednesday.

“We would like to make our contribution to ensuring that the best possible security concepts can be designed for cultural events in Switzerland,” said festival founder Peter-Michael Reichel, adding: “We already proved last year that we run the Swiss Alps Classics with a strict security policy and are able to successfully implement the hygiene concept. In this context, we would like to thank you once again for the many years of partnership with the Canton of Uri and for the trust you have placed in us. "

The pilot projects are available throughout Switzerland based on a Federal Council decision; each canton can name up to five projects. The aim is to test the safe and practical implementation of large events. Between 300 and 600 guests may be admitted indoors for the pilot projects - but up to a maximum of half the capacity of the respective location. The Andermatt Concert Hall has a capacity of 650 seats; thus up to 325 people are approved on Saturday.

Additional tickets for the Concert Hall are available at Ticketcorner

An extended ticket allocation for the concert is now available at Ticketcorner. In her autobiographical one-woman show “Mad Scene”, Marisol Montalvo describes the ups and downs of the profession of a singer and is accompanied by Werner Lemberg in arias of various styles. The concert marks the end of the Swiss Alps Classics 2021. The festival edition for the fifth anniversary is under the motto "Variations on the theme of music". It starts on (today) Wednesday (Park Hotel Vitznau / 6 pm) with a performance by the Young Artists of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation, Avery Gagliano and Amir Siraj.
