BENEDIKT HELLSBERG, born 1994 in Vienna, received his first violoncello lessons from the age of eight with Cecilia Ottensamer at the Music and Art University of the City of Vienna, where he took the preparatory course until 2013. In that year he switched to the class of Robert Nagy at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, in September 2014 he was accepted into the class of Othmar Müller at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory of the Province of Burgenland. Since the beginning of the 2019/20 season he's a member of the Orchestra Academy of the Bruckner Orchestra Linz.

Among his most important concert partners at appearances in the Wiener Musikverein, the Vienna State Opera, Festspielhaus Salzburg or the Altenhofer Palace Concerts in Upper Austria include, among others, Yefim Bronfman, Lang Lang, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, Herbert Lippert, Gottlieb Wallisch, Friedemann Katt, Dieter Flury and Clemens and Dominik Hellsberg.
